Carl Off Duty

SUMMARY

For our fourth and final project in our first year at The Game Assembly, we were tasked to design a game which utilizes an orthographic camera angle. Our reference game was Tunic.

Play as Carl the once lauded warrior but now a forgetful veteran, relearn your skills and fight off the invading rodents.

 

This project is one of my personal favorites, as I loved designing the level using an orthographic camera angle, allowing me to get creative with composition, sightlines, and pacing in a new way.

Top-down adventure

Once a lauded frog warrior but now a forgetful veteran, you have yet again been called to fight the invading rodents. Venture out into the forest to practice combat, secure lost items and prepare for war.

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd.

Any internship offers can be made on May 5th, at the earliest.
